Visit the city’s stunning baroque cathedral
Arguably one of Malta’s sightseeing highlights, St. John’s Co-Cathedral in the heart of Valletta is a stunning example of Baroque architecture. Built in 1577 by the Knights of St. John, you could spent hours admiring the ornate floors and ceilings alone. Make sure a trip to the adjoining museum is also on your itinerary. Inside you’ll find Caravaggio’s masterpiece ‘The Beheading of St. John the Baptist’ along with other fine works of art.
