A Rustic-Chic Country Club Wedding

rustic chic country club wedding - bridal party

Andrew and Nicole met while they were working at the same advertising agency. “We were assigned to work on a pitch for Jackson Triggs, so I guess you could say wine brought us together—though not in the usual way! Several after-hours trips to the local watering hole Bar Wellington ensued, and the rest is history,” Nicole says.

For their wedding, the couple chose a rustic, country club chic theme. “Andrew’s father is a member at The Caledon Mountain Trout Club, so we were very lucky to be able to hold our wedding there. It is a club rich in history, tucked away and preserved, and it was the ideal backdrop for the elegant, rustic affair we envisioned,” she says.

One of the couple’s favourite details of the day were the flowers. “The florals at our celebration were truly idyllic. Our florist constructed lush garlands for our harvest tables out of beautiful, fragrant eucalyptus with white floral accents,” Nicole explains. “For the ceremony, she constructed a gorgeous arbour out of birch and decorated it with wildflowers, more garlands and white roses. All the flowers complemented the natural setting perfectly.”

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the couple’s first look, which they decided to do in a wooded area on the grounds. “I could feel my heart racing as I walked up behind Andrew underneath a canopy of huge, magical fir trees. The expression on his face when he turned around and we both saw each other for the first time is something I will never forget,” Nicole says.
