An Elegant Pink Wedding In Edmonton, Alberta

When Sean picked Alex up from work on a lovely September afternoon, she had no idea what was in store. With a surprise picnic packed and a romantic spot picked to enjoy the sunset at the top of a river valley, Sean was ready to pop the question. When the sun was starting to set he got down on one knee and proposed. Alex then began plotting an elegant pink wedding at St. Joachin Catholic Church. “Sean and I did our first look before the wedding because we weren’t allowed to read our own vows in the church, so when we saw each other for the first time we read our vows to each other,” explains Alex. “It was really special to just have them between the two of us,” Alex says. After the ceremony, the 145 guests in attendance followed the couple to the Edmonton Country Club, which was filled with peonies for the occasion. “They are my favourite flower and since Sean has never bought me any, he got to buy a wedding full of them,” exclaims Alex!
