Melissa McKee and Daniel Smith met as college students while working part-time at Home Depot. After a game of Cranium turned into an engagement (Dan drew his marriage proposal to Melissa on a piece of paper), the pair celebrated with a yellow and green wedding at the scenic Hessenland Country Inn. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of sunny Gerbera daisies, which also adorned the lapels of the groomsmen’s suits (all were sporting yellow ties). The yellow and green wedding reception, also held at the Inn, featured whimsical details such as bright buntings, juicy paper poms, fruit-flavoured candies and vibrant green centrepieces. Guests were treated to a citrus-hued cupcake spread and cooled off with a lemonade and limeade bar. The yellow and green wedding continued with the couple’s first dance to “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. “We chose this song because we are exactly that, best friends,” explained Melissa.
