How they met: “Kris and I met at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic my senior year of high school,” explains Jamie. “His friend introduced us at the bar and said, “Ladies, ladies, this is my friend Kris – you’ve gotta feel this guy’s chest.” Kris is a muscular guy so my girlfriends (including my maid of honour) and I proceeded to run our hands over his chest. We spent every waking moment the following two days together and exchanged contact information before we left the resort to return home. The rest is history as they say!”

Engagement story: “The proposal took forever, Kris waited seven years to propose! We had just finished breakfast at home. Kris turned to me and got down on bended knee with gift box in hand. He described his love for me and opened the box,” Jamie recalls. “At first I thought it was a mean joke; but when I looked in the box and saw a ring I was shocked – it took my breath away. I later learned that Kris had tried to purpose three times earlier that day but I had inadvertently managed to kibosh his best laid plans on all three occasions!”
