Wedgwood has just launched a new line of incredible tabletop patterns and décor pieces under the new label, Wedgwood & Bentley and we think they could make a fabulous addition to your registry. The line was a passion project of Lord Piers Wedgwood, who is the fourth Baron of Wedgwood and an international ambassador for the Wedgwood brand. We had the pleasure of meeting with charming Lord Wedgwood last week (over tea of course) who personally introduced us to this luxe collection available exclusively in Canada at William Ashley.
“The goal with this line was to create pieces that pay homage to Wedgwood’s golden period from 1769 to 1780,” Wedgwood shared. “It was during this time that company founder Josiah Wedgwood formed a partnership with prominent business man Thomas Bentley who began selling Wedgwood’s wares. This is where the name for the collection is from and many of the pieces are throwbacks to items from Wedgwood and Bentley’s time together.”
If you are looking for special and unique pieces and patterns for your registry, Wedgewood & Bentley is a perfect choice. Think opulent and elegant, like something you would see on the set of Downton Abbey. Lord Wedgwood told us the line is about bringing the fineries back to home dining and entertaining. We are particularly smitten with their tabletop patterns which feature incredible colour and detailing. They are gold-gilded and glorious (the pattern pictured above, Anthemion Blue, is one of Lord Wedgwood’s favourites). See the entire collection of Wedgwood & Bentley treasures here.
