Want An Appointment With Say Yes To the Dress’ Randy Fenoli? How To Book One (And Win a Copy of His New Book!)

If you’re a fan of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, then you know Randy Fenoli, the stylish and exuberant fashion director of New York’s Kleinfeld Bridal. Randy certainly knows bridal dresses, and what looks good on each and every body type. I met Randy at Engage!11 last November in Grand Cayman and I can tell you he is positively charming in person. Some good news for us Canadians, specifically you brides-to-be in the Vancouver-area: you can book an appointment with Randy at Isabelle’s Bridal January 23 when he’ll be making a special in-store appearance!

Randy has a fantastic new book out, It’s All About the Dress, a gorgeous, glossy coffee table book. In the book, he shares his secrets for finding ‘the one.’ We’d love for one of you to enjoy a copy of the book—we have one signed copy to give away! Tell us your wedding dress shopping challenge and we’ll pick the post we think Randy’s book can best help with.  *Please note, this contest is open to Canadians only and closes on January 16. Good luck!

***UPDATE: Our contest is now closed. Congratulations to Tanya…your book is on the way!

My biggest challenge has been my weight fluctuations with the medications I’ve had to take after struggling with chronic pain from a car accident. I’ve also been ordered to not exercise due to misalignment of my ribs/pelvis. It’s been frustrating as I never really had to worry about my shape or hips before this and was able to figure out what dresses to wear easily. So it’s been disappointing to not be able to fit styles I would’ve been able to wear before — like trumpet style or mermaid. I’ve had stores tell me which ones wouldn’t look good on me before I even had a chance to try them on. When I see a photograph of myself trying something on, I often am surprised at how a dress doesn’t fit the way I think it would. During some of my recovery I watched Yes to the Dress a lot and I still aspire to feel beautiful on my wedding day! Randy is awesome!!!!

I’m engaged and this will be my 2nd marriage. I’m having difficulties in finding something I find suitable for a 2nd marriage. Not only because it’s a second marriage but also because I’ll be 48 this month. I’m comfortable with white but it’s the style that’s making it difficult to choose.

Alhtough it’s my second marriage it’s my fiances first so I want it to be special for both of us.

I have watched the show a few times and have seen brides cry and fall deeply in love with a dress. This gets me so emotional because I hope I too can feel the same emotion. I am a small beach skirt, jeans but no dress kind of girl. Although my husband to be will drop with whatever I wear I want to feel beautiful for once. Growing up I always felt like an ugly duckling. I’m looking for my swan look.

My dilemma has been my bridesmaids and MOH. I found the perfect dress when my mom and I went “just browsing” to get an idea of what was out there and there it was. Unfortunately, the bridal shop is no where near where I live and my MOH is in England, and my two bridesmaids have yet to be able to find time with me to get down there to show them the dress on. So I will be heading back down there on Monday…alone, to try it on for the last time just to be sure this is the one. Oh well, being a bride is not always fun.

I am in love with too many styles of dresses! Some days I want an elegant lace shift, other days I’m thinking a sassy satin mermaid with some bling. How do I simplify the process and decide what suits me best?

I am a plus size and I have a fairly small budget so it has been very difficult to find my perfect dress!

I’m obsessed with authentic vintage things but I’ve never come across a classically beautiful vintage gown where I live. I have only seen ugly 80s and a few prom-ish 50s gowns.
