Canada AM: Kate Middleton’s Dress

Paloma Blanca (style 4161).

One of the most talked about aspects of the Royal Wedding continues to be Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, and Alison was on Canada AM this morning to talk details with Seamus O’Regan (if you missed it, check out the clip here). We still don’t know much (and we probably won’t until she walks down the aisle), but designer Bruce Oldfield continues to be the front-runner. We’re expecting Kate to wear something stylish and modest (high neck or sleeves). We had four great options on the show this morning. Think one of them might be your dream dress? Here are all the details.

Wedding dress shopping today with my daughter, nanna, auntie and her attendants at a beautiful boutique in Seattle. She brought in several photos of her dream dress, all of which were A-line, V-necked lace dresses. She tried on 15 gowns. When she put on the first gown shown, by Paloma Blanca, so very different than anything she had envisioned, she came out on the stage and declared “This is the gown I will be wearing when I marry my love.” We gasped. It was breath-taking. Not a dry eye among all eight of us. Photos do not do this dress justice. It is exquisite. Shades of Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton. (I just laughed when I saw the second dress shown, because it was her second choice!) Paloma Blanca gowns are just perfectly crafted and modern/romantic/retro all at the same time!
