Weddingbells Dream Destination Wedding Contest
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST
- CONTEST DESCRIPTION: The “Dream Destination Wedding Contest” begins Thursday, December 21, 2006 12:01am ET and ends on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 11:59pm ET when all entries must be received. The bride/groom couple entering this contest shall be referred to individually as a Contestant or collectively as the Contestant Couple.
- HOW TO ENTER: To enter, go to www.Weddingbells.ca, click the contest link and complete the online entry form. The Contestant must submit their name, address, age, ten digit day and evening telephone numbers and email addresses, as applicable, and one hundred (100) word submission on why the Contestant Couple deserves a dream wedding. The Contestant Couple must be engaged and have the firm intent of being in position to redeem the prize prior to December 10, 2007. Dates of travel are subject to blackout periods. Limit of one entry per individual, per household. Entries shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Contest starts at 12:01am on December 21, 2006 and ends at 11:59pm on June 30, 2007 (the “Contest Period”). There is one (1) grand prize (the “Grand Prize”) to be won from among all the eligible entries received during the Contest Period. No Purchase necessary. Void where prohibited (see point 4).
- THE CONTEST SPONSORS ARE: The Wedding Lady, Weddingbells, CanWest Media Works Publications Inc., The National Post, Birks, Diane’s Lingerie, Niko Hair and Cosmetics, Tina Graham Photography, I Do Bridal, Black and Lee, Metropolitan Hotel, Transat Holidays, Mexico Tourism Board, Velas Vallarta and L Alarcon Photography (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”).
- ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding the province of Quebec. Each member of the Contestant Couple must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, their agents, parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible as Contestants or fiancée of entrant. The Contest Couple must be engaged and ready to be married prior to December 10, 2007.
- GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize Dream Destination Wedding will be awarded. The bride and groom will travel to Vancouver, Canada prior to their destination wedding to meet their wedding planner (The Wedding Lady), and the prize sponsors. The trip to Vancouver includes: a) round trip economy airfare for two (2) from a major city in Canada to Vancouver via Transat Holidays, if winner is from outside Vancouver area, subject to availability of departure gateway, (hereinafter referred to as the “Departure Point”); b) two (2) night hotel accommodation in Vancouver at the Metropolitan Hotel (value $800 CDN), with dinner for two at Diva at the Met restaurant for a six-course tasting menu (value$250 CDN)(excluding alcohol); c) hair stylist and make-up artist for an engagement photo shoot supplied by Niko Hair and Cosmetics (value $500 CDN); d) photography session with Tina Graham Photography, including forty (40) 4X6 images in both color, and black and white presented in a photo album, plus a CD containing the digital images (value $1,400 CDN); e) silk chemise and wrap by Christine Morton (value $500 CDN) from Diane’s Lingerie; f) wedding gown from I Do Bridal (value up to $4,500 CDN); g) tuxedo provided by Black and Lee that includes rental of shirt, pants, cummerbund, tie, jacket, pants and shoes (value $300 CDN); h) two wedding bands from Birks, one ladies 18kt white gold, and one mens 18kt white gold (value $1,350 CDN), the wedding bands can be exchanged for something of equal retail value, but can not be converted into cash.
Grand Prize winner and his/her traveling companion are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein including, without limitation, applicable taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, ground transportation, meals, beverages, room service not included herein, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, and all personal expenses of any kind of nature, together with any applicable overnight layover. Flight dates and hotel accommodation are subject to change without notice or compensation. It is the sole responsibility of the winning couple to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas if applicable and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements. Grand Prize winner and his/her traveling companion must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion failing which the Grand Prize will be forfeited. It is recommended that Grand Prize winner and his/her traveling companion obtain sufficient personal and medical insurance prior to departure. Travel must be completed by December 10, 2007. Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $40,550 CDN. Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Prize may not be sold, transferred and is not convertible into cash. Contest Sponsors reserve the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or any component of the Prize is unavailable. No change in travel arrangements can be made by the winner once the booking has been confirmed. The Prize may not be used towards any type of frequent flyer mileage, or other reward point accumulation program.
- WINNER NOTIFICATION: On or after June 30, 2007 the Contest Winner will be chosen. In the event that the Contestant cannot be contacted within five (5) business days after the selection, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected. Proof of identification must be provided upon request. In order to be declared a winner, Contestant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited mathematical skill testing question administered by Weddingbells. Before being awarded a Prize, Contestant Couple will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Contest Sponsors, a full release and indemnity form stating that he/she has read and understood these official rules and regulations, grants all consents required, authorizes the Contest Sponsors to publish and disseminate his/her name, address, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion of publicity, and/or general news, entertainment and information purposes at no additional compensation to the Contestant Couple, beyond the awarding or participation in the Prize, accepts the prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsors from any and all liability of any kind arising out Contestant Couple participation in this Contest an receipt and use of the Prize. The provisions and procedures referred to above in relation to selection and notification of a Contestant Couple shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until a qualified Contestant Couple have been duly selected.
- CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION/RELEASE: By entering this Contest the entrants and participants automatically agree to accept and abide by these Rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsors with respect to any aspect of this Contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Contest. All entries become property of Contest Sponsors who assume no responsibility for garbled, inaudible, lost, late, delayed, destroyed or misdirected mail, voice messages, e-mail or any computer errors or malfunctions. No correspondence will be entered into except with entrants requesting Rules by mail or requesting names of Prize winner (for which a self-addressed postage paid enveloped must be included). Contest Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, seeding or printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. If for any reason, in the opinion of the Contest Sponsors, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity or the proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond its/their control, Contest Sponsors reserve their right to cancel, terminate, modify, amend, extend or suspend the Contest including canceling any method of entry, and select a winner from previously received eligible entries. Contest Sponsors reserve their right to modify the Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions hereof. The Contest Sponsors reserve their right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion, further reserve their right to terminate the on-line portion and conduct the drawing from all on-line entries and all other entries previously received during the Contest Period. Any attempts to deliberately damage www.wedddingbells.ca or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made the Contest Sponsors reserve their right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent of the law. Contest Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest including any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software, or any combination thereof, as a result of their participation in this Contest or from downloading any material from the Contest website, where applicable. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution or his/her personal information (information that identifies an entrant as an individual, such as home telephone number, age and home address) by the Contest Sponsors for the purposes or implementing, administering and fulfilling this Contest. Contest Sponsors will not sell or transmit this information to third parties except for the purposes of administrating this Contest.
