The Just Married contest is provided by Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec. All questions regarding the contest rules should be directed to Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec at 111 Queen Street E., Suite 320, Toronto ON M5C 1S2. Rules and regulations are available online at www.weddingbells.ca.
This contest starts on January 2, 2008 12:01 AM ET and ends on July 21, 2008 at 11:59 PM ET.
Eligibility: The Draw is open to all residents of Canada, who are at least the age of majority in their province of residence, who plan to marry after July 24, 2008, except employees (and all persons with whom they are domiciled) of St. Joseph Media Inc. o/a Weddingbells, Sol Melia Hotels Cuba, Marlin Travel, Transat Holidays, Royal Doulton, Lagostina, Hamilton Beach (the prize sponsors), their affiliated companies, their advertising and promotion agents, dealers, distributors, resellers and contractors.
Odds of Being Selected: The chance of being selected depends on the total number of eligible mail and online entries received. This Draw is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all federal, provincial and local laws and regulations.
Draw: A random drawing will be made on July 24, 2008, at the head office of Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec (St. Joseph Media Inc. o/a Weddingbells) from all eligible entries received on or before the Draw Closing Date. Prior to the prize being awarded, the selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing question (without the aid of mechanical means) in order to win the prize, and will be required to sign and return, within 30 days after notification, an affidavit of eligibility and compliance with the Drawing rules and regulations, acceptance of the prize as awarded, and releasing Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec and any prize sponsors from any liability respecting the acceptance of the prize including any liability in respect of the prize. If the winner cannot accept the prize or fails to claim the prize within three days of notice, the prize will be forfeited. Another entry will then be drawn.
Prize:
One (1) grand prize winner will receive:
- Roundtrip airfare in Economy class to Varadero, Cuba from Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver, for two (2) adults, according to the Transat Holidays flight program
- Roundtrip transfers between the airport and the hotel
- A 1-week (7 nights), all-inclusive stay in a beautiful junior suite at the Paradisus Princessa Del Mar in Varadero, Cuba; a 5-star hotel, in double occupancy (value of $5,400)
- Sterling Collection from Hamilton Beach eclectrics (value of $639.96)
- Cookware Set from Lagostina (value of $1349.99)
- China set from Royal Doulton (value of $500)
The prize is not transferable and has no cash surrender value. The prize is subject to all terms and conditions of the prize sponsors. In order for the trip to be valid, travel must be completed BEFORE December 31st, 2009. No extension will be permitted after the expiration date. Trips are subject to space availability and selected blackout dates. Marlin Travel and Transat Holidays reserve the right to relocate any confirmed prizewinner to an alternate resort, based upon availability of space for the secured travel dates..
Any and all taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner including departure taxes and all federal/provincial/local taxes associated with the prize. Prizewinners are also responsible for all items of a personal nature (e.g., telephone calls, spa services, souvenirs, outside tours, off-resort services and gratuities, optional travel insurance, processing fees, etc.).
Neither Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec (St. Joseph Media Inc. o/a Weddingbells) nor the prize sponsors are responsible for any incomplete, lost, late or misdirected submissions including those that may be affected by disruption of postal services, computer, network, hardware, software or electrical systems. Entries obtained from unauthorized sources or which are illegible, mutilated, altered, mechanically reproduced, forged, counterfeited or irregular in any way are void. All entries become the property of Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec
By entering the Draw, entrants consent to having their names, city and province of residence, and photographs and/or likenesses used by Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec, the prize sponsors and their agents without compensation.
Any litigation respecting the conduct and organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des Alcools, des Courses et des Jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. Participants in the Draw agree to abide by these rules and all decisions of Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec and the prize sponsors.
This Draw is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations.
The Draw may be revoked or cancelled if Draw materials contain printing, mechanical or other errors. Without limiting the foregoing, Weddingbells and MARIAGE Quebec the prize sponsors and their agents take no responsibility for errors that may occur during the transmission, downloading or remote printing of Draw materials.
