Benches are the New Chair
Watch out chairs, benches are making their mark on ceremony decor at destination weddings. Specifically, wooden benches are the newest trend for ceremonies. Benches are a fun way to add a new “look” to your celebration. This is something to consider if you’re tired of the chair covers or Chivari chair look.
I’ve been following this trend closely in the past few months, as I see it popping up in more and more wedding photos. I think it’s a nice and intimate way to have guests sit together and gives your ceremony decor a unique look.
To make the benches more comfortable, try adding some plush pillows or seat covers, maybe in a colour that will match your theme, to bring in some brightness to the location. Also, you can lay out bamboo mats or silk runners in front of the benches so guests have a royal place to lay their feet!
