Hello, Switzerland
Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois in Basel.
This week I will be saying goodbye to Canada and hello to Switzerland. The purpose of my travels? To find out what makes this country a beautiful honeymoon destination. I’ll be arriving in Zurich on Monday, then taking the train to the village of Gstaad where I’ll say two nights at the incredibly luxurious Grand Hotel Bellevue. In the day I’ll be exploring the streets via an electric bike and picnic-ing on the Alp Walig. Then I’ll head to Basel (Switzerland’s second-largest city) to explore all of the amazing sites the city has to offer — eat chocolates and pastries too of course, then rest up at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois. I’ve never been to Europe, so I’m super excited to see what’s on the other side of the ocean (from what I’ve heard I won’t be disappointed). What’s fantastic about Switzerland is that it’s a beautiful destination year-round — skiing on the Alps in the winter, or wandering the city streets come summer.
