Contest: The Wedding Singer

**CONTEST HAS CLOSED**

Thank you to all who entered, but the contest has now closed. Jenn Kenter is the lucky winner who will get to see the musical comedy this week!!

Who wants to see The Wedding Singer?! I’m sure you’re all pretty familiar with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore’s silver screen rendition. But, have you heard about the musical comedy? I just got wind that they are making their way to town (Toronto that is) this March, and will be playing at The Richmond Hill Centre on March 10th and 11th. We were lucky enough to score 2 pairs of tickets for the March 11th show to give away. If you’ve never seen the movie or heard about it, here’s the 411:

Laugh out loud as wannabe rock star Robbie Hart is everyone’s favorite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party until he gets jilted at the altar. So he vows to make every wedding as disastrous as his own. But then he meets Julia, a waitress who wins his heart – but she’s already engaged to a Wall Street shark! Can he win her heart before she says “I Do” or will it be too late?

It’s totally 80s from big hair to Billy Idol! If you love weddings and remember skinny ties, shoulder pads and leg warmers, you’ll fall in love with The Wedding Singer.

Could be a fun date night for you and your mister, or even a girls night with your MOH. Here’s how to enter:

**CONTEST CLOSED** Thanks to everyone who emailed their responses to me! The correct answer was Gossip Girl! As any GG fan knows, Kristen Bell is the voice of the omniscient narrator.  For those who won tickets, let me know Thursday morning, what you thought of the film! I’ll be checking it out too.

Who doesn’t like a good date night movie? Whether you’ve just started the wedding planning process or are deep into it, a break we like to endorse here at Weddingbells is a good ‘ol fashioned movie night. January is traditionally the month when the rom-coms start hitting the big screen and there are a handful coming out from now until Valentine’s Day. Read the rest of this entry »

Father of the Bride

Are you fan of the Father of the Bride starring Steve Martin? I know I was. Growing up, I remember watching it over and over again. Looking through clips on YouTube, I came across this video: entitled Father of the Bride (best scene)–which I totally, wholeheartedly, 100% agree with. Even listening to the song brings a tear to your eye. Agree? What’s your fave wedding movie?
