There’s nothing we love more than a great proposal story, especially when it’s caught on video. Add in some iconic building blocks we’ve grown up loving and the aww-factor is pretty much through the roof. Atlanta photographer and videographer, Walt Thompson spent two and a half days shooting 2,600 photos for this adorable stop motion proposal video for his girlfriend of four years, Nealey Dozier. The video chronicles their lives together, including fine details like the clothes they were wearing when they met and Dozier preparing food as a freelance food writer while Thompson photographed her. In their own living room Thompson played the video and waited until the very end to get down on one knee and pop the question with a ring box containing a LEGO bride and groom.

Greatest Marriage Proposal.. EVER!
This is a video you’ve got to see! Creative, romantic–maybe a bit over-the-top–but something you’re bound to love nonetheless. Here’s what Matt, the boyfriend proposing in this video had to say:
My girlfriend Ginny gets taken to the movie theater to see “Fast Five”. After a preview for the Hangover 2, a trailer for a movie comes on. A trailer I made of her father and I where I ask her father for her hand in marriage. After he gives me permission, I race off to the theater she is at to ask her to marry me. What she doesn’t know is our family and friends are in the theater with her watching the whole thing, along with about 100 strangers ;-)
Enjoy!

WIN: A Pass For Two to the Special Advance Screening of BRIDESMAIDS
Just how far have you gone for a bride? Show us and you could win a pass for two to the special advance screening of Bridesmaids on Wednesday, May 11th.
SYNOPSIS: This spring, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, Superbad) and director Paul Feig (creator of Freaks and Geeks) invite you to experience Bridesmaids. Kristen Wiig leads the cast as Annie, a maid of honor whose life unravels as she leads her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), and a group of colorful bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to matrimony.
Annie’s life is a mess. But when she finds out her lifetime best friend is engaged, she simply must serve as Lillian’s maid of honor. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. With one chance to get it perfect, she’ll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you’ll go for someone you love.
Weddingbells wants to know (and see!) what lengths you’ve gone to as a bridesmaid. E-mail us a photo at bridesmaids@weddingbells.ca of your most unique bridesmaid dress, shoes, accessory or hairstyle and you could be 1 of 20 winners to win a pass for 2 to the special advance screening screening of BRIDESMAIDS in Toronto.
Winners will be chosen and featured back on the Weddingbells blog on Tuesday, May 10th.

Wedding Movie Alert: The Romantics
Opening in select theatres tomorrow–The Romantics, filled with an all-star cast including Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, Anna Paquin, Adam Brody, Elijah Wood, Dianna Agron and Candice Bergen, looks like an altogether romantic film filled with lots of laughs and major drama. Based on the novel “The Romantics” by Galt Niederhoffer, the film follows seven close friends who reunite for a wedding of their two close friends. However, the plot thickens as problems arise between the bride (Anna Paquin) and the maid of honour (Katie Holmes) who have a long-standing rivalry over the groom (John Duhamel). Sounds spicy! Watch the trailer above for a preview.
Bonus: J. Crew collaborated with the celebs (sans Anna Paquin) to create a fun photo shoot. These three are my faves–the cupcake shot especially!
