Hailee’s Tea-Length Marchesa Gown

When it came to the 83rd annual Academy Awards, the red carpet style did not disappoint! All our favourite style icons were present from Sandra Bullock to Halle Berry, however it was newcomer Hailee Steinfeld who tops my best-dressed list this year. Though only 14, Hailee was a vision of poise in a custom Marchesa gown. Done in pale ballet pink, this retro-inspired piece came complete with a sheer hand — embroidered bodice and flirty tea-length skirt. Read the rest of this entry »

John Galliano to Design Kate Moss’ Wedding Gown

A spectacular Dior creation from the S/S 2011 collection

While we’re all waiting to find out who’s designing the other Kate’s wedding gown, we now know who will be the lucky designer to dress Kate Moss. Earlier in the week, Vivienne Westwood claimed the model would be designing her own dress, telling the Daily Mail, “No, I think she’s designing it herself. She has done her own fashion range and she knows about clothes. She knows what she is doing, she doesn’t need my help.” Instead, Kate Moss told friends during London Fashion Week that she is enlisting the help of the same designer who dressed Gwen Stefani for her wedding to Gavin Rossdale — Dior designer John Galliano, who is also a close friend. Set for July 2, we’ll have to wait and see what both Kate’s decide to wear on their big day!

Some recent quotes from Bruce Oldfield (who is rumoured to be Kate Middleton’s wedding dress designer) have given rise to speculation that Kate may wear not one but TWO dresses on her wedding day! Winter Wonderland Wedding Gowns

As you read this, I will already be en route to Blue Mountain, Collingwood for a weekend away with friends, food and snowboarding (first time EVER!). This place has such a nostalgic meaning for me as it was one of the first fashion shoots I attended. Seems like yesterday that the Weddingbells crew was there–boy, how time flies. If there’s one thing that I vividly recall about this off-location shoot, well, in a nutshell, it was cold, cold, COLD. However, looking at all the photos justifies that it was all worth it in the end.
