Current Obsession: Wedding Sparklers

To me sparklers are a great reminder of all the good things associated with your childhood. The only sad part about them is that they don’t last very long–it’s a good thingmy parents stocked up because they knew how much fun I had twirling them around. Recently, I’ve seen sparklers used at weddings–for guests to use during the reception (they make for the most fantastic photos) or simply as favours. Either way, I’ve never seen them wrapped up in such a pretty way the way TOPS Malibu packages them, don’t you agree?

Swarovski’s Style Suite

Celebrity swag: a personalized Swarovski crystal handbag.

Toronto’s film fest (which officially opened last night) is now in full swing, and one of the most entertaining things to do at this time of year—besides seeing one of the featured films, obviously!—is visiting one of the many celebrity gift lounges around town. Sparkly Things

Right now, I’m obsessed with all things glittery and sparkly. ‘Tis the season after all. Speaking of glitter and sparkles, check out this fun idea from Twig & Thistle. The pros at this crafty shop have created these super-chic sparkler cards. They’re available in six shades and are really easy to make. Once you’ve picked out your hue, all you have to do is print the template and place the sparklers into the holders yourself. Easy-peasy! My fave is the “maize” colour (the yellow one)–it looks so cheery and inviting, and quite suitable for summer celebrations.

TGIF!

wb_may09_sparkler_300x500Hooray! It’s t-minus a few hours until the long weekend officially commences. And, since it’s Victoria Day, that means it’s time to bring out the fireworks. But what I’m so super-excited for is being able to bust out the sparklers, which is another great idea for wedding receptions.
