I’m sure most of you can relate to me when I say that there’s nothing more stressful than coming back to work on a Tuesday morning (after the long weekend!) to endless amounts of e-mails. BUT, I was super-glad to see an e-mail waiting for me from Roxy at Roxycakes entitled ‘neat and interesting’. Stephanie’s Cupcakes
No these aren’t cupcakes made for our online editor Stephanie. But that’s what Roxy over at Roxycakes calls them. I love working with Roxy, she always does an amazing job whenever we ask for a specific design for a shoot. But what I love most about her, is that she’s always sending me these inspiring “sweet” creations. According to Roxy, the cupcake craze was a major hit this summer–glad to see that it’s not so much a trend anymore, but a staple sweet item that’s here to stay. Don’t you agree? Rosie Picks: Cake Makers
I’m so proud to be Canadian! No truly. And, not just because I was born here, but working within the wedding industry has shown me that we have some pretty darn good talent out there. So, starting every first Monday of the month, I want to highlight and give props to three vendors across Canada whom I think deserve some accolades and praise. These are recommendations that I’ve gathered over the last few years from real brides, friends and, mainly working with them on editorial shoots for past issues. Of course, it wouldn’t truly be a “Rosie” post if I didn’t start by recommending vendors from my fave section: CAKES! Trick or treat?
Two weeks ago Alison received a special delivery of delicious and gorgeous cupcakes from Roxy at Roxy Cakes (roxycakes.ca). It just so happened that I left early for a dentist appointment that day, so I never got to taste them. But Jenn and the rest of the WB girls gave me rave reviews.
