Wedding Belle: Beachside Beauty

Wedding Style: Wearing a stunning strapless dress with cascading ruffles from her waist down accompanied with a wrapped long beige ribbon, Victoria looked beautiful on her beachside big day. With her beautiful brown hair in a soft curly updo, a single white flower was tucked in behind her ear. Victoria kept her makeup elegant and simple, and completed her bridal look with timeless studs and a glittering necklace with a heart pendant. Making the most of a gorgeous day by the beach, Victoria’s white bouquet had hints of light blue flowers that beautifully complimented her best girls’ dresses. The breezy beach atmosphere was even brought indoors with a single starfish resting on the electric-blue coloured napkins at every table.

Wedding Belle: Glowing and Gorgeous

Wedding Style: Dressed in an ivory a-line stunner that gathered delicately together right above the knee with a lovely long veil, Erica positively glowed from head to toe. Her beautiful red hair was lightly curled and her bangs were swept to the side. Choosing a pearl bracelet and pretty pearl earrings, the bride kept her jewellery timeless and simple. Her bouquet was a gorgeous arrangement of deep red and white flowers, each different shade worn by her bridesmaids in a slightly different style.

Wedding Belle: Perfectly Elegant

Wedding Style: Donning a gorgeous white gown with exquisite floral lace embroidery and a long-sleeved lace bolero to match, Karen looked simply stunning on her big day. A lace-covered white rose decorated her beautiful short red hair, with the bride choosing classic red lipstick and dark nails to complete her wedding day look. Karen’s jewellery was kept simple, a single teardrop necklace gracing her neck with small, delicate hoop earrings. Keeping in line with the elegant Halloween theme, guests were surprised with the performance of ‘Thriller’ after dinner. “We didn’t tell anybody about this, so it was a complete surprise to all our guests,” Karen tells us. The bride wore ruby-red flats, perfectly complimenting her stunning bouquet of red roses, the red and black colours of the bridal party, and for dancing the night away!

Wedding Belle: Naturally Beautiful

Wedding Style: Jennifer’s wedding style was natural and beautiful for her lovely beach wedding. Her a-line stunner swayed effortlessly with the wind and waves. The bride radiated in her gorgeous breezy sweetheart gown with a single rose adorned strap over her left shoulder, matching the single front piece rose on each of her glittery silver ballet flats. Her beautiful blonde hair was wrapped up into a loosely curled chignon, showing off a pair of stunningly detailed chandelier earrings. The beautiful beach bride kept her look fresh and elegant with shimmering white eye shadow and French-manicured nails. Her angelic look was matched with a sweet bouquet of pink and peach roses, which were also held by Jennifer’s best girls, dressed in adorable pink empire-waist teacup dresses.

Wedding Belle: Pretty and Girly

Wedding Style: Erin was a lovely Canadian beach bride in her strapless A-line dress with a soft sweetheart neckline. This crisp white gown had a beautiful cathedral train, while its adornments were subtly beautiful. Erin’s dark brown hair was swept into an elegant updo, with a large white flower pinned behind her ear. Her stunning and effortless look continued with crystal chandelier earrings as being her only piece of jewelry–besides her ring of course! Erin kept it simple with just a bit of natural looking makeup and pale pink nails. She held a blossoming bouquet of pastel red and pink roses. Erin’s bridesmaids had similar bouquets and also looked soft and girly in their flirty crème cocktail dresses. An off-white rose was pinned on the groom and his groomsmen, completing the sweet look.

Wedding Belle: Pretty Nature Girl

Wedding Style: During a ceremony overlooking the mountains of British Columbia, Jana wore a stunning sweetheart gown full of delicate ruching. The gathered material on the skirt was pinned with a pretty, sparkling broach. Her long train swept along the grass aisle and a long veil was pinned to her hair. Jana’s auburn hair was half-up in loose waves while her bangs were side-swept over her forehead. A remarkable cascading bouquet was full of overflowing purple orchids, ideally reflecting the outdoor and country theme. A bit of makeup enhanced this natural beauty’s look and drop-diamond earrings were the perfect accessory. To complement her style and theme, Jana’s bridesmaids wore silk green and white patterned dresses that enhanced both the bride’s white dress and the surrounding green mountains. Jana’s groom wore a white tie over a black shirt while the groomsmen wore green ties over their black shirts.

Now What? Planning Anxiety Sets In

So…we’re engaged! Now what? Every site I visit for newly engaged brides, and surprisingly I frequent them far more than I had thought I would, starts with “How to get started” and “What to do next.” As much as I like a good list of ‘to do’s’ I seem to reject them like a rebellious teenager when they’re imposed. Like I’m a bad ‘bride to be’ if I don’t do everything on “Martha’s” list. I’m not putting Martha Stewart down, in fact, she is a God in my mind and on my list of people I would love to have coffee with before I die. I wish I had the time to do half of what she and her team do but honestly, I can barely keep up with her daily e-mails I subscribed to last month. I thought I had it all figured out but ‘bohemian centrepieces’ and ‘flavourful favours’ are beginning to overwhelm me! Am I dropping the wedding ‘bell’ this early in the game?

If you read my first blog post, you know that I own a flower shop called Coriander Girl and you’d also know that my fiancé and I just bought a house and you might also know that the shop turned one on September 2nd and I just hired my very first employee and… yes there is more, I just starting blogging for Weddingbells! Wedding Belle: A Fresh-Faced Bride

Wedding Style: Nicki was a natural stunner in her ivory, sweetheart gown that featured a pretty Swarovski belt to emphasize her waist. An a-line style skirt revealed a pair of sparkling and glamorous peep-toe Jimmy Choos—Nicki calls them “a hint of glamour in an otherwise classic and elegant theme.” Her brown hair was loosely pulled back into a tousled updo, revealing a gorgeous pair of Swarovski chandelier earrings. Instead of wearing a veil in her hair, Nicki pinned a dazzling large hairpin on the side of her updo. She carried a classic bouquet made up of white roses held together by a silk, white ribbon. As for her makeup, Nicki says her makeup artist “created a romantic, timeless look in shades of brown and gold.” This gold and elegant theme continued to carry throughout Nicki’s bridal party as her bridesmaids donned strapless, silk dresses in shimmering gold, while groomsmen had a hint of gold in their tie patterns.
