Getting married in Quebec? Then maple products are a must. In Saskatchewan? Opt for Saskatoon berry preserves. Treating your guests to locally-made favours representative of the province you marry in will not only allow guests to better connect with the region, it will also give them something memorable to savour when they return home. Sweet treats from Ontario and unique wines from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are just a few of our favourite locally-made Canadian wedding favours. Who’s looking for beautiful vintage signs? Because I have found the cutest east coast shop EVER. Okay, well, technically, they found us. But, anywho, when Leslie, owner from My Painted Porch, e-mailed us, I nearly swooned with excitement. Just a little background info, My Painted Porch is this online boutique (from New Brunswick) who specialize in vintage inspired wedding designs. Their “Sweetest Moments” line is stacked with signs perfect for a shabby chic garden wedding or a vintage French-themed celebration (check out some examples below). Bonus: they do custom work too! P.s. out of curiosity, do any of you plan on using signs for your big day? If so, how?

We’re having a simple ceremony, incorporating some of his East Indian heritage, and then a cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception. Read the rest of this entry »

Normally, I would send this through to be a real wedding of the week, but I’m an impatient person and I felt the need to share with you their beautiful day ASAP. Read the rest of this entry »
