Katy Keeps Russell Close at Hand

Photo Lisa Logan, courtesy of Minx

Katy Perry took her love of fiancé Russell Brand to a new level at the MTV VMA’s last weekend when she decked her nails with his likeness. Perry’s groom-to-be was in New York starring in the remake of Arthur and couldn’t be with his California girl on the white carpet, so she brought his photo instead (10 photos to be exact) on her custom-made Minx nails. Kelly Ripa’s Wedding Gown

When Kelly Ripa said “I do” to husband Mark Consuelos, it wasn’t in a wedding gown. The two nixed a big celebration and instead eloped to Vegas in 1996 after secreting dating for a year (they met on the set of All My Children). It wasn’t until a few weeks ago Kelly finally got her chance to wear a big white dress on Regis & Kelly courtesy of Project Runway‘s Season 6 winner. Read the rest of this entry »

Destination Wedding Invitations

Does your destination wedding need to have a “destination” theme? Not necessarily. It is really up to you and your personal taste. Don’t feel that if you are having a beach wedding you need to have palm trees or flip flops on the invitations!

Remember your invitations give your guests a peek into what your wedding will be like so showing an element of the place is a great idea. Although I still think it is important that the design still matches your personalities. Read the rest of this entry »

Designer Real Wedding: Jenny Yoo

wbnov09_jenny_500x400

For the last year Jenny Yoo has topped my list for creating some of the most chic and elegant bridesmaid dresses that I’ve seen. Last year, I absolutely fell in love with her crystal pink floral dress (pictured left). But, aside from the beautiful designs, the shades that she chose to concentrate on–magenta, tangerine, poppy red, honey, casper blue, eggplant, violet, mauve–seemed to appeal to everyone. Eggplant in particular was a really hot shade this year. By the looks of her 2010 collection, Kelly Green (pictured right) appears to be Jenny Yoo’s hue choice of the year–but we’ll have to patiently wait until January 2010, which is when her full line debuts in stores, to see which colours Jenny’s chosen to fit with her line. In the meantime, as a beautiful source of inspiration, here are some gorgeous images from Jenny Yoo’s very own wedding celebration, which took place on April 28, 2007 in Las Vegas. The bridesmaids, of course, all donned gorgeous gowns by Jenny Yoo. While the bride herself, opted for a stunning dress from Domo Adami (an Italian couture designer). View photos of Jenny Yoo’s pretty wedding after the jump.
