Real Wedding: Orange and Green and Everything in Between!

wbsep09_rowell1_500x350

Yay! I was so happy when Ryan and Erika (two awesome photographers) from Rowell Photography contacted me a few weeks back. The weddings they shoot, the details, oh the details, are simply spectacular. One wedding in particular really caught my eye. The couple, Charlotte and Steve, had a beautiful (orange and green themed) wedding at the Toronto Botanical Garden. It’s such a pretty space and I highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a fresh garden scene. And, the wedding could not have happened if it weren’t for the planning pros, who also created all the superb decor and floral arrangements, at eventdecorator.com. View more photos after the jump.

It turned out to be the perfect choice for a well overdue sunny summer day. Read the rest of this entry »

Summery Wedding Decor

wbjune09_pottery1_400x350

I seriously love this time of the year (although the weather over the last few weeks has been sort of odd). Regardless, I’m always so eager and ecstatic to see what other home decor stores are busting out for the summer. Decor stores are actually where I get a lot of my inspiration from. Pottery Barn in particular always has some amazing ideas, and although they are for the home, I can easily see their items being implemented into wedding celebrations. For example, I went online to check out a birthday gift for my mom (Happy Birthday Mom!) and thought that a potted plant is a pretty a neat alternative to having floral centrepieces. There’s something so earthy and calming about them. Another great idea would be adorning your tables with these chic and beach-like lanterns.
