I’ve found the perfect wedding favours for all you pie lovers out there–mini pies! Found these DIY mini pecan pies via The Bride’s Cafe. If you’re not a fan of pecan, I’m sure you can substitute the recipe with any filling of your choice (I personally like peach, cherry, blueberry and apple). Add a little thank you note with some ribbon around the pie and you’ve got yourself one sweet favour.

I personally love the idea of pie served on a plate (especially warm apple crumble pie topped with vanilla ice cream). But for those of you looking to serve them in itty-bitty sizes, pie on a stick is the next sweet thing on the list–after cake pops, cupcake pops, cheesecake pops, brownie pops, etc. (oh yes, I even heard there’s a bacon pop recipe comprised entirely out of goat cheese, herbs, pecan and bacon–not 100% sure I’m sold on that idea yet, but if you’ve tried it then let me know how it goes). Just looking at all this delicious food–croissants, cookies, cotton candy, etc.–is making my mouth water. Love the dreamy and inviting presentation of everything. In case you’re unaware, Maddy K Food is a catering division of Maddy K (an event design group) who specializes in beautiful creatives such as this one.

The pink set-up was done with a preppy-chic design in mind while the lavender creation simply oozes elegance and charm. I can’t tell how excited I am to share with you one of the most awesome candy vendors I’ve had the pleasure of speaking/working with–The Candy Store. As you all know our big 25th anniversary party is coming up this Thursday (exciting!). Everything has been coming along quite fabulously (we can hardly wait to share with you some of the most amazing details). Last week I was calling in tons of delicious treats that were going to be shot for an upcoming Sweet Dictionary slideshow. Each letter needed to have a corresponding treat and let’s just say Q, X and Z weren’t the easiest. However, we did find some good ones, but you’ll have to wait until the Sweet Dictionary launches in April before you find out what sweet is going with each letter! I promise some will surprise! As I write you this blog, I kid you not, I am most likely surrounded by dozens and dozens of cakes. Yes, it’s our major week for cakes and flowers (I’m hoping to have some ‘behind-the-scenes’ images to share with you).
