I’m starting to think that cake pops, cheesecake pops, pretty much pops anything is starting to take over the dessert table (watch out cupcakes!). A few weeks back, Diana from Papillon Cakes surprised us with chocolate cake pops–just because (thank you Diana this made our day at the office!). And let me tell you, they were super-delicious. We all commented how the size was perfect and how easy it was to eat cake off a stick. If you’re looking for a unique twist to a dessert table, I think cake pops is one surefire way to jazz your sweets bar up.

Say Cheese Please

Have any of you heard about One Pop Cheesecake Lollipops? Let me tell you, they are deeee-licious, and if you ever get your hands on them, watch out as you might end up eating more than one or two–yes, they’re that good. Food Trends (located in Toronto) are the pros behind these amazing goodies. They’re available in various flavours (Caramel, Cherry, Vanilla, Pistachio, Banana, Lemon, Mocha, etc.) and can be easily placed in mini-boxes as favours or served on a cheesecake lollipop tree (think of your average lollipop stand). The chocolates can even be customized to fit your colour scheme.

Cake Flavour Testing

Yesterday, our staff at Weddingbells received a nice surprise–delicious cakes. Of course, I was in on the surprise with Kristin from Cake or Death, who approached me a few weeks back about dropping off some cake samples at our office. Kristin was super-nice and sweet enough to bake us, not one, but three scrumptious confections in flavours of chocolate, pistachio and red velvet. As for the designs, it was a pleasant surprise to see them mimicked to look like an actual gift box from Chanel, Tiffany & Co. and Cartier.

Welcome back everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. I just got back from the cottage and I’m already missing it. It felt so nice to get away from the city noise and completely immerse myself with nature–sans the pesky insects. But, what I’m really missing the most are the s’mores. I know, I know, you can make them easily at home, but, it’s just not the same–especially when you have the camp fire going. At first I thought it’d be an awesome idea to have s’mores at your wedding, but then that can get messy. So instead, I went searching for something a little neater to eat, but with the same taste.
