Beauty Looks from the CMA’s

Last night the country music world came out to celebrate at the CMA’s. Hosted by newlywed Carrie Underwood, the most talked about performance had to be Gwyneth Paltrow singing Country Strong, the title track from her upcoming movie in which she plays a country musician. If you haven’t seen it, check it out on YouTube, she does a fantastic job!

But let’s move on to the more important part of the awards — the red carpet. Pictures of the couple are splashed all over the pages of People this week, with Carrie’s tiara front and centre—I’m predicting her crowning glory will quickly become the accessory du jour for brides. Carrie Underwood’s Weekend Wedding

The details are in for Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher’s weekend celebration in Greensboro, Georgia. According to radaronline.com, the price tag for this extravagant event is estimated at half a million. So far, the “I dos” are set to take place at The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Georgia. Rumour has it, the couple booked out the entire hotel (all 251 rooms) where room rates range the gamut from $300 to $1500 a night–wowzers! The couple themselves are said to be staying in the Presidential House. And for “only” $4000 a night they also get VIP access to both the lake and golf course. Lastly, a tent has been pitched near the lakeside landing–where Carrie will walk down the aisle. Sounds pricey, but we can’t wait to get our hands on all the wedding images.

…and who said wedding planning was not fun? I’ve had a love-hate relationship with my hair my entire life: it’s frizzy and unruly, and though a straightening iron may mask my secret Cyndi Lauper-esque identity, it sadly also contributes to fragile, breakable ends—making the dream of long, romantic waves for the wedding seemingly unattainable. Thanks to all your suggestions (thank you!), I’ve decided on a down-do. I feel far more comfortable with my hair down, plus it’ll cover my tattoos! But the clock is ticking—I have a matter of months in which to get my hair strong enough to keep growing past my shoulders, and stop breaking off in pieces all over the bathroom sink.
