Since getting engaged you’ve probably noticed that there are tons of events for you to attend pre-wedding, and you’re going to be the centre of attention at all of them! No pressure, right? Well when it comes to what to wear, a chic and simple dress is always my first suggestion. Something comfortable and pulled-together, but not too fancy, which is exactly where Simple Dress comes in. Nautical Style
Today I’m daydreaming about seashells by the sea shore; sandy beaches, lighthouses and sailboats, which got me thinking what a great theme this could be for your wedding day. Sometimes nautical style can be a bit too preppy for my personal taste, but I’ve pulled some options for you, your groom and your bridesmaids that are fashionable and laid-back with just a nod to the high seas! Haute Prints
The Oscar fashion rundown continues! Obviously, I couldn’t agree more with Alison and Stephanie: Sandra Bullock was the picture of perfection in Marchesa, Cameron Diaz sparkled in Oscar de la Renta and Anna Kendrick was a blushing beauty in Elie Saab. Dress to Impress

From left to right - Kerrie, my best friend and MOH - Mikayla, my cousin and BM - Kendra, my cousin and BM - and me!

My task with my bridesmaids and maid of honour this month was to get those bridesmaids dresses found and off the to-do list. Well, we’re already nearing the end of February and we didn’t make much progress so far. We originally planned for the first week of February, but my maid of honour got a job offer 13 hours away, with a week’s notice to move out there! And my mom ended up being out of town for work, so we moved our plans back a few weeks. Read the rest of this entry »

Dressed to Impress
Will your bridesmaids be decked out in a long and elegant gown? Or, are you keeping things short and sweet? I’m curious–which of the following dresses (pictures below) appeals more to your style? Personally, as a former bridesmaid and soon-to-be-again, I like the idea of walking down the aisle in something pretty and wearable. So the idea of an LBD tops my list as being the “perfect” bridesmaid dress. Then again, wearing a colourful frock has its advantage as it would definitely add a punch of colour to my already-dark and neutral wardrobe.
