When it came to the 83rd annual Academy Awards, the red carpet style did not disappoint! All our favourite style icons were present from Sandra Bullock to Halle Berry, however it was newcomer Hailee Steinfeld who tops my best-dressed list this year. Though only 14, Hailee was a vision of poise in a custom Marchesa gown. Mark your calendars ladies, February 14th a new online bridal destination is going to be unveiled. BHLDN, although separate from the Anthropologie stores and website, has the brands’ vintage-esque aesthetic and will include everything from bridal gowns, to accessories (shoes, bags, hair pieces), and even invitations, decorations and more. For those of you who need to get acquainted with designer Monique Lhuillier, let me introduce you. Chances are you saw her latest creation on recent-bride, Carrie Underwood, who wed hockey player Mike Fisher. She’s also dressed Britney Spears (to her wedding to ex-Kevin Federline), Jewel, Ashlee Simpson and Kate Walsh, to name a few. Aside from her celebrity followers, her gowns have appeared in tons of editorials (including yours truly) and she’s even branched into bridesmaids, ready-to-wear, table top and fine paper.
