Several years ago a friend recommended I check out a blog called The Cherry Blossom Girl. Since then I’ve been religiously following the adventures of author Alix (a fabulous French girl!), and coveting her enviable collection of handbags and shoes I might add! Needless to say when Alix recently tied the knot, her bridal ensemble was absolutely lovely. Read the rest of this entry »

Coco Rocha’s Wedding Videos & Dress
For those of you who aren’t into Twitter (although we suggest you sign up — it’s another great way to stay connected & updated), you may have missed our tweets about the gorgeous details supermodel Coco Rocha has been sharing on her blog (which she then tweets about). Before Coco tweeted the picture (5 days ago), we hadn’t seen much of her Zac Posen gown. Finally we’re able to see her stunning mermaid body conscious dress she wore to wed interior design James Conran. Read the rest of this entry »

Vera Forever
If there’s one thing we learned from the recent bout of celebrity weddings it’s that Vera Wang is still the undisputed queen of bridal fashion. Hilary Duff was the most recent starlet to don a Vera gown, but Chelsea Clinton and Alicia Keys also chose her designs. We recently had a spectacular Vera in the office (look for it in our Spring/Summer 2011 issue on newsstands in December!), and it was easy to see why she has no trouble winning over the red-carpet set. Runway-Inspired Gowns Without the Runway Price Tag
The bridal runways are a great first place to start when it comes to finding the wedding dress of your dreams. But unfortunately the runway price tag on that Oscar or Vera you have your eye on may not fit into your wedding budget. To help you with your own dress search I’ve found a handful of stunning wedding gowns featured on the bridal runways and found some similar alternatives with a much lower price tag.

Chelsea Clinton’s Aisle Style
It’s hard to go wrong with a custom-designed Vera Wang gown, but what I liked most about Chelsea Clinton’s bridal look is that it was true to her personal style. When it comes to choosing your dream dress and accessorizing your ensemble, it’s crucial to keep in mind who you are and what makes you feel comfortable. Read the rest of this entry »

Every once in a while something lands on my desk that totally makes my day, and just last week it was a box full of goodies from Alfred Sung Bridal. To be more specific, the package was bursting with pretty pieces of lace and beautiful belts festooned with rosette embellishments. Read the rest of this entry »

Priscilla of Boston
Last week at this time I was strolling the stylish streets of Boston, Massachusetts, and wouldn’t you know it, there was a massive Priscilla of Boston bridal boutique right across the street from my hotel. Naturally, I did a little digging into the company’s history, and it turns out the brand got its start in 1945 when fashion designer Priscilla Kidder opened a bridal boutique on Boston’s Newbury Street (still a must-visit shopping spot!). Would you wear…a mini?
When it comes to wedding dresses, hemlines have been on the rise for quite some time now, and it’s become perfectly acceptable to wear a tea-length (or knee-length!) dress for the big day. However, I’ve been noticing that some designers are pushing the envelope a little further—creating wedding dresses that are short, as in well above the knee, and tight.
