How they met: After vacationing together as children, Erica and Tyler became friends and later developed feelings for one another. Due to attending school in different parts of Canada, the two initially delayed “going steady” before entering a long-distance relationship. “It was an exciting time in our relationship and young lives, but it was also very challenging,” says Erica. “We saw each other at least once a month and spent our summers together.” The couple eventually settled together in Ottawa but would later move overseas for work.
