A Winter Wedding in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Wedding date: December 30, 2011
Wedding theme: Warm winter wedding
Guests: 80
Budget: $13,000
Best moment: “We took pictures before the ceremony and my favourite moment was the look on Jon’s face when he turned around and saw me,” says Karen. “We grinned, kissed, hugged and laughed. It was pure happiness.”
Favourite detail: “We had beautiful (and delicious) favours,” explains Karen. “We ordered bottles of jams and mustards from two vendors at our local farmer’s market and put personalized labels on them. Buying local is something that is very important to Jon and I.”
Wedding song: “Always” by Bon Jovi. “The song we had picked for our first dance was “Something” by The Beatles but we were having such a great time that we forgot to play that song and went with the first song on our playlist,” says Karen. “It was too late to turn back. Our friends made a circle around us, joined arms and swayed to the music as we danced everyone was singing “Always” and it was sweet, hilarious and amazing all at once. We loved it.”
Honeymoon: Punta Cana
