How they met: “We met through mutual friends,” explains Karen.

Engagement story: “Jon had planned to propose to me in his favourite place in Charlottetown, the Irish Memorial, down by the Charlottetown Waterfront,” Karen recalls. “Unfortunately, I was not dressed warmly enough for walking in early April, so we never made it down there. We had a lovely evening at home though, and later in the evening Jon got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was simply perfect.”
