How they met: “We shared a mutual friend” says Erin.

Engagement story: “After dating for four and a half years, I thought that we would get married and was beginning to wonder how he would be able to propose without me knowing. I am very good at being a detective and people have a hard time surprising me,” says Erin. “Jason works in Alberta and is away 20 days to work and home for ten days each month. He had been planning the proposal and ring shopping via telephone and the Internet with a local jeweller here at home while he was away for work. On a random Tuesday in February, I got home from work and he had an amazing surprise for me set up in our home. He took me to the living room and the lights were off, when I turned around he had arranged ‘Will you marry me?’ in tea lights all glowing with flower petals sprinkled everywhere on the floor. I was completely blown away with surprise.”
