A Lovely Classic Wedding in Kleinberg, Ontario
About the couple
Bride: Christine Maloney
Groom: Paimonn Irvani
How they met: On a blind date
Engagement story: “Paimonn was never the handy kind of type. But that changed over the course of a year when we bought our first home, a fixer-upper,” Christine recalls. “When Paimonn decided to propose (after having the ring for two months) he put everything he learned to test and built a sign. Now this sign wasn’t just any sign. He built each individual letter perfectly with pieces of 2×4 wood, which were then spray painted and arranged on the basement floor. The next morning, my dad showed up to work on the house and asked Paimonn what all the letters were for. He replied, ‘I’m going to propose to Christine tonight’. My dad dropped everything he had to do that day to help his soon-to-be son-in-law finish the sign. It took them all day and when they were finished, it was mounted onto the living room wall and spelled out ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME?’”
