Best moment: “For me, the best moment was staring into Brett’s eyes as he recited his vows to me, and I never expected Brett to write vows that would truly touch my heart,” says Tanya. “For Brett, his best moment was our first dance and even though he was nervous about stepping on my dress, he had fun spinning and twirling me around.”

Favourite detail: “Our favourite wedding detail were the wish lanterns that we and our guests made wishes on, as we released them into the night sky,” explains Tanya.

Wedding song: “Gettin You Home” by Chris Young. “We chose this song because we wanted a song that was fun to dance to and that showed off the passion we have for each other,” says Tanya.

Honeymoon: We spent the rest of the weekend on the beach in Port Colborne.
