A Fashionable Wedding In Vancouver, British Columbia
Wedding date: October 2, 2010
Wedding theme: Simple and elegant
Guests: 200
Best moment: “Once we were announced husband and wife, everyone cheered as we walked down the aisle of the church. I saw my loving 88-year old grandma clapping her hands and beaming with delight from her wheelchair! She was so happy to see her first grandchild get married. It was so special to me that she flew all the way from Taiwan to celebrate with us,” says Anita.
Wedding song: “Stay With You” by John Legend. “Rob and I love this artist and we wanted a song with meaningful lyrics. I was teary-eyed when Rob first played the song for me. The song talks about a man’s unconditional love and support through many years of hardships and good times. It sums up our relationship because I know Rob will always be by my side,” explains Anita.
Favourite detail: “I really wanted to personalize our wedding day,” says Anita. “The shoes I wore for our first dance were so fun to make! As a line builder and shoe buyer for Sterling Shoes, I had the opportunity to make a custom pair. I wanted to create my own special pair as a keepsake. I chose the champagne satin color, d’orsay peep toe style with rhinestones, then Rob designed our “Anita and Robert” logo with the red heart.”
