A Glamourous Red and Black Wedding in Brantford, Ontario
About the couple
Bride: Alexandra Alpi
Groom: Robert Puglielli
How they met: “While finishing school part-time I was serving at the Keg and happened to wait on Robert’s concrete supplier and his wife. They saw Robert come in with a few friends and asked me to get a round of drinks for them,” explains Alexandra. “Shortly after they asked if they could formally introduce me to Robert as they thought they would make a good match. Sure enough we talked, exchanged information and have been inseparable since then!”
Engagement story: “On our one-year anniversary Robert surprised me with a romantic dinner for two at a fine dining restaurant in Brantford called Café Andreos. He had arranged it to be private and hired a violinist. He had twelve long stem roses on the table with a card with my name on it,” Alexandra recalls. “I opened the card and read the beautiful message that I could tell he carefully had planned out and couldn’t help but cry after reading it. It was about how happy he was to have met me and how much he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Shortly after, not expecting a proposal, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was in so much shock and was sooo happy to accept his proposal. He had been planning it for a while and I had no idea! He even got the exact Tacori engagement ring I had said I liked in passing one day. That had to of been the biggest surprise anyone has ever pulled off on me!”
