A Timeless Nautical Wedding in Toronto
Wedding date: August 27, 2011
Wedding theme: Nautical
Guests: 150
Budget: $60,000
Best moment: “The best moment was when Melissa Andre, our wedding planner, brought us privately into the Grand Ballroom to see the decorations. It was a nice private moment to be alone without our guests and just take in the scenery and the moment,” says Lesley.
Favourite detail: “My favourite detail was the video of a cruise ship that was playing in a loop in our venue. The guests commented that it felt like they were eating in the dining room of a cruise ship and it really helped recreate and capture the place where Jose Carlos and I fell in love,” explains Lesley.
Wedding song: “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. “We chose this song because it is about a couple that is apart but are lucky to be in love with their best friends. The song mentions sailing, which is how we met, and about how hard it is to say goodbye but how nice it is to see each other again, which describes our relationship since we have a long distance relationship,” says Lesley.
