A Romantic Fall Wedding in Toronto
About the couple
Bride: Jennifer Keon
Groom: Kent Leung
How they met: “We were introduced by our mutual friends Laura and Alex in 2005,” explains Jennifer. “We dated for six months before I moved to Australia for a year of teacher’s college. We both assumed that things would just fizzle out due to the distance, but as the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Kent and I must have grown extremely fond of each other because we continued a long distance relationship for three more years. In the summer of 2009, I made the move to New York to be closer to Kent. ”
Engagement story: “After a successful year living in the same city, Kent planned an extraordinary trip to Spain for us,” Jennifer recalls. “The first stop on our Spanish vacation was the gorgeous costal city of San Sebastian. As soon as we arrived in San Sebastian, Kent insisted on going for a run to stretch our legs and see some of the beautiful city. Kent lead me on a jog all the way up to the top of Mount Urgull, a small mountain in the middle of the city. With a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, Kent got down on one knew and popped the question. I said yes, of course, and we spent the rest of the day walking hand in hand around the quaint city enjoying wine and Spanish delicacies from one café to the next. It was truly a perfect day.”
