A Rustic-Vintage Wedding in Edmonton
Wedding date: August 27, 2011
Wedding theme: Rustic Vintage
Guests: 100
Budget: $15,000
Best moment: “We had some photos taken in a sketchy part of downtown Edmonton. When we arrived on the scene there was a security guard on site donning and bullet proof vest. After posing for some photos a fight broke out between two men very close to us. It was certainly memorable!” says Stephanie.
Favourite detail: “I loved the place cards that I made. Each one was on a different pattern of paper and placed with a clothes pin. At the wedding people started pinning their place cards to their shirts and ties and used them as name tags,” explains Stephanie.
Wedding song: “I Just Don’t Think I’ll Ever Get Over You” by Colin Hay. “Shane and I split up when I moved to Calgary for law school after having been together for three years. We hadn’t spoken for months and when I heard this song it made me think of him. I sent him a link to hear the song over a Facebook message. He responded by telling me it made him cry and that he wanted to see me. Long story short, this song put us back together!” says Stephanie.
