How they met: “Nathaniel and I met when I moved to New Hampshire in 1995,” explains Rachel. “Nathaniel played hockey with my older brother, Oliver. Our family eventually moved back to P.E.I. but Nathaniel came to visit us once in a while. Years went by and we would email occasionally, until Facebook came out. After 10 years of speaking to (but not seeing) each other Nathaniel asked me to move to Hawaii where he worked as a deep sea diver for the U.S. Navy. I said yes and without even a kiss between us to see where fate would take us.”

Engagement story: “We had been dating for over a year when I went to meet Nathaniel while he was working in Florida,” Rachel recalls. “He asked me to go for a walk after dinner and a movie. As we were walking along the boardwalk, Nathaniel got down on one knee and proposed, and I said ‘yes’ so fast that he hardly got the words out.”
