A Canadian Star’s Stunning Spring Wedding In Fredericton, New Brunswick
About the couple
Bride: Anna Silk
Groom: Seth Cooperman
How they met: “It was early 2007 when Seth and I first met. It was in an acting workshop and when I saw him on stage I thought he was hilarious! After a few weeks he asked me to go out for coffee and we did. That was the beginning of a great friendship that lasted a year and a half. We became really great friends who supported each other and helped each other with countless auditions. We had many lunches and laughed a lot. A year and a half later the stars aligned and one night over sushi with a group of friends we realized that we weren’t just friends, but we were madly in love! I swear the earth shifted for me in that moment and the rest is, as they say, history,” says Anna.
“We met at King’s Road Cafe, ordered two giant coffees and about ten minutes into the date, Anna said, ‘This isn’t a date, right?’ To which I replied, “Date? Not anymore.” We laughed it off and I downshifted into small talk. And in classic Cooperman form, I started to play the waiting game. One and a half years later she cracked,” jokes Seth. “She turned to me one night after some sushi and sake and said something like, “Let’s do this.” I said “Yup.” And that was that.”
Engagement story: “It was our one-year anniversary and Seth surprised me with a full day of events,” explains Anna. “Brunch where we had our first date, followed by a beautiful day of exploring the Getty Villa in Malibu. He then took me to a beautiful private beach where we hiked to the cliffs overlooking the Pacific ocean and watched the most spectacular sunset. As the sun was setting Seth gave me a gift — it was an album chronicling our first year together. With pictures, emails we sent each other, and a story all about us. The final page simply said “We got engaged…” and when I looked up at him he was holding a ring box. I was completely surprised and over the moon when Seth proposed and presented me with the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. We then went to a great restaurant that served all the foods I love — it was an absolute dream day.”
