Best moment: “Walking down the aisle with my dad — I didn’t realize how special that moment would be,” says Erin. “But between looking up at dad to say goodbye, and looking and Maclean feeling so excited, I was laughing a LOT! My dad is 6’6 and kept hitting his head on the branches.”

Wedding song: “When You’re Smiling” by Louie Armstrong. “We chose this song because we love it, and because we don’t dance well. We wanted a super slow/super short song that would require minimal movement,” Erin says.

Favourite detail: “It’s between the décor and the cookie bar. Cookies are my favorite thing in the world so I was stoked to have them at our wedding but the décor was the best surprise,” explains Erin. “I met with Kim from Wedding Design Studios and when she asked me what I liked and what sort of look I was going for I said – ‘I like The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter — go!’ That’s pretty much all the direction I gave her, and when I saw what she had done on our wedding day it was far above and beyond what I ever expected! It was perfect and I was so happy. Mac’s favourite detail was our custom-made M&M favours.”
