How they met: “We met at the University of Western Ontario, in the first few weeks of first year. We discovered we were both studying Health Sciences,” explains Camilla. “We spent years as friends, studying together, and relying on each other for support through life’s ups and downs, before realizing that what we wanted out of love and out of life, was staring us in the face all of those years. Once we made that incredible leap to the romantic side, we fell in love and haven’t looked back once.”

Engagement story: “I was so surprised. Steve popped the question the first night of our week away at a cottage, just the two of us, celebrating our four-year anniversary,” Camilla recalls. “On our first night there, I was going on about something that had happened at the work the previous week. Poor Steve was trying so hard to stay focused as he fiddled to keep the fire burning bright. When I was finally done with my story, Steve told me that he was proud of me and all that I had done in life and that he wanted to grow old with me. So right there, in front of the fire and the lake, he got down on one knee and proposed. it was a moment in time that will live within us forever.”
