How they met: “Through mutual friends,” says Denise.

Engagement story: “For my birthday my girlfriends took me out for dinner. After we ordered drinks and began talking I saw Adrion (his nickname is Ace) wandering around looking for someone. I called him over and asked what he was doing at the restaurant, when he was supposed to be on the opposite side of the city with friends. He opened a deck of cards and placed an Ace, King, and Jack on the table and asked what was missing. Confused, I answered “The Queen.” In a restaurant packed with patrons, Adrion went down on one knee and responded “I am missing the Queen in my life, will you be my Queen?” I exploded — I had no idea the proposal was coming and all my friends were in on the secret,” explains Denise.
