About the couple
Bride: Sarah Casselman
Groom: Joshua Norton
How they met: “Sarah and I met at a Tiffany & Co. holiday desk side appointment. She is senior editor at FASHION magazine I was there to present holiday merchandise. I left the appointment enchanted by Sarah. I then arranged to have her seated next to me at the annual Tiffany & Co. holiday press lunch so that we could get to know each other better. I asked her out, she said yes (although at the time she wasn’t sure it was a ‘date.’ But it was). The rest is history,” says Joshua.
Engagement story: “I drove Sarah out to the small Ontario town of Elora, west of Toronto, for a romantic weekend. We stayed at the Elora Mill Inn. It was a grey, rainy day and we explored the town,” explains Joshua. “What Sarah didn’t know was that I had an engagement ring in my bag and I was anxious to find the right spot to propose. The whole day went by before I found the ideal spot -– a scenic spot overlooking a raging river. There was a small wooden bench that Sarah sat down on and when she turned around I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said yes and the sun came out for the first time the whole day. I spent the rest of the weekend grinning from ear to ear. I haven’t stopped since.”
