How they met: “We met online on MySpace. We both had pictures of our own artwork on our MySpace pages and Jason commented on one of my paintings. We started sending messages back and forth about art. I was new to Vancouver so he gave me lots of tips on restaurants and things to see around town. It was after a month or so of communicating online that we finally met in person,” says Fiona.
Engagement story: “We had gone out for dinner and were walking downtown on Granville Street in Vancouver. It was raining and right as we were passing Birk’s jewellery store he stopped and turned me towards him. He proposed right there in the rain. We were on our way to meeting some friends for drinks and broke the news to them right away,” explains Fiona.
