A Seaside Wedding In Nova Scotia

How they met: “Craig and I met during our PhD training in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He’s from Saint John, New Brunswick and I’m from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Craig had taken a photo of a friend and myself at a black light bowling event hosted by our work. About a week later I conspired with a coworker to get Craig’s email and ask him for the photo. So I emailed him to get a copy of the picture and he asked me out for drinks. The rest is history,” says Jenna.

Engagement story: “It was a beautiful winter day in Halifax. We had plans to go skating at a local pond in the afternoon but first Craig needed to go into the office. When he returned he was adamant about finding our beloved cat Miloe, although I thought it was odd I continued to get ready for skating,” explains Jenna. “As I was waiting to leave, Miloe jumped on the couch to say hello and there, tied on a ribbon around his neck was a beautiful ring! Craig did not go to the office but instead went to pick up a ring. I couldn’t help but cry and say, ‘Do you mean it? Do you really mean it?’ I was so excited and happy I forgot to say yes until Craig asked, ‘Is that a yes?’ We never did end up going skating that afternoon.”
