A Country Harvest Wedding in Langley, British Columbia
Wedding date: August 14, 2010
Wedding theme: Country harvest
Guests: 100
Budget: $25,000
Best moment: “The whole day was a dream! My father/daughter dance was extremely special as it would be our last. My father suddenly passed away just two months after the wedding,” says Melanie.
Favourite detail: “Our barn. After dinner, we had a specialty barn set up — there was a “living room” complete with a chandelier, cocktail tables and a photo booth with props to engage the guests in getting some fun and crazy shots. We also had live music performed by Greg Neufield,” explains Melanie.
Wedding song: “Smile” by Uncle Kracker. “The words just totally capture how we feel about one another in such a sincere and truthful way without being over the top sappy. Every time I hear the song, it makes me smile and makes me want to give Mike a great big hug,” says Melanie.
Honeymoon: Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
