How they met: “Noah and I met in university at a bar in London, Ontario. He tried to pick me up with a cheesy pickup line about my eyes but I didn’t go for it. It wasn’t until much later that I decided to finally go on a date with Noah,” says Sammy.

Engagement story: “I had a feeling that a proposal was coming since out of the blue Noah decided to take me for a fancy dinner,” explains Sammy. “We went through the entire meal and Noah didn’t propose. I was a little bit upset at myself for expecting a proposal, but when we got home Noah asked me if I wanted him to give me my birthday present, which I thought was a purse. I said ok and we walked into our bedroom. The entire bed was full of rose petals! I turned around to Noah, who was on one knee with a ring in his hand. At that point I was so shocked since I had convinced myself that we were not going to get engaged that night.”
