How they met: Jesse and Alayna met when they were 18 and 16 years old. They both worked in the kitchen at the Keg.

Engagement story: “We were engaged in Vancouver on February 14th during the Olympics,” says Alayna. “We stayed at my mom’s vacation condo in Yaletown as she lives in Penticton. We spent the day walking around town, enjoying the Olympics. Just before sunset we walked back to the condo (which is right beside the Cambie Street Bridge). Jesse asked to walk into the park under the bridge for some sunset photos. We sat on a bench right under the bridge and he got down on one knee and started fumbling in his pocket. Of course I knew what was about to happen. The ring got stuck in his pocket and he started getting really nervous. He finally got the ring and asked me if I would be his wife. It was so cute! He had planned for a limo pick up after and we toured around downtown, then went out for dinner.”
