what’s on your reception playlist?
If you’re unsure of which songs should make up your wedding playlist–or unsure if your guests will respond to your music choices–then you may want to check out songvote.com. It’s actually a pretty cool tool (and easy too!), I signed up for it myself just to give it a whirl. Basically, all you do is create a contest–this is your song list–and using their artist/song title search option look for the song you’d potentially like to have and add it to your set. From there, once you’ve developed your playlist (you can listen to a clip of the song to help you decide), send it off to your guests and have them vote. They can even add songs they’d like to hear themselves. After voting is done (you set the date of when voting begins and when it ends) you’ll have a more firm idea of what to play at your wedding reception. Easy-peasy! So, what kind of songs are you adding to your list? Or are you letting your DJ decide?

A good reception needs a little retro so the bride & her girls can relive their high school/college days.
That, and Neil Diamond.
What a great idea!! This is one of the issues we’re having a bit of trouble with – balancing our taste in music with what’s popular and well known. I am definitely going to check this out!
